Diane Sagnier is a Franco-American photographer and director. She was born in 1990 and grew up in the Alps and then Provence.
Influenced by sunlight and the spellbinding gaze of her loved ones, she studied photography and post-production at the prestigious French school, Les Gobelins.
She graduated in 2010 and started her carrer with several Billabong campaigns. In 2011 she won the Picto Prize for Young Fashion photography.
She experiments with the textures of images, shooting both digital and film, as well as videos that she accompanies with music she composes for the occasion. Music lover, she pursues her carrer both in fashion, advertising, but also in the musical world by shooting many portraits and artworks for many artists such as Melody’s Echo Chamber, Sebastien Tellier and Metronomy, Jeanne Added, Aurélie Saada, Tim Dup as well as reports for festivals.
Between Paris and her travels, she has made numerous films and photos for Galeries Lafayette, Comptoir des Cotonniers, Tara Jarmon, L’Oréal, Not, Leiboho, Levi’s …
In 2013, she collaborates with the band Tristesse Contemporaine, first for their music video and finally composes with them a piece that will be signed under « Camp Claude ». Their first album was released in the Spring of 2016 on the Believe Recording label and Diane also directed the music videos. Their title has been used by Hermès for their Men Upside Down collection and campaign and also during fashion shows for Elie Saab, Courrège or Tory Burch.
Today she combines her two passions on a daily basis.
